Kory's sister, Hallie, got married June 3rd and we got the opportunity to fly out to Illinois for a week and a half to be with family. We could not wait to get there! Especially Sydney ;)
A long vacation calls for a large post.
Trip into Chicago! Mom forgot that she promised Madison that she would take her to the American Girl Doll store, so Grandma Teresa, Madison, Shelby, Jenn, Breckon, Sydney and I all went into Chicago for a day and passed through the American Girl Doll store and the Navy Pier.
At the American Girl Doll store looking at doll accessories.
Loves being pushed around in her stroller!
Ferris Wheel ride.
Syd loves her Grandma Teresa (matching green).
A building I thought was cool.
Hanging out at Home. It's always nice just to hang around the house and play with family. For the first three days after arriving, Sydney had a nasty cold and very horse cough. She is smiling in this first picture but it's only because she is such a happy baby; she really was miserable. And...sadly, she gave her cold to Breckon. Madison also had a fever part of the week and I had Sydney's cold the second half of the week. It was a household of sicknesses but we got by. :)
Poor sick baby and poor sick Mr. B.
Exercising! hahaha Jennifer made us her guinea pigs for a class she is training to teach at her gym. It is called RIPPED: The One Stop Body Shock! (Resistance, Intervals, Power, Plyometrics, Endurance, and Diet & Nutrition.) Grandma Jo even joined us one day- what a tough woman she is! ;) Jennifer got us all huffing and puffing.
Wedding Rehearsal and Rehearsal Dinner.
Dopp girls getting ready.
Dinner at Giordano's Pizza. Yum!
Syd's been doing that with her teeth lately; she must like the way her teethies feel on her lip because she likes to play with them. A third tooth broke through as well! It's just to the left of her bottom ones.
COUSINS! Sydney (9 months) and Brynne (1 1/2 years)
Brynne was so sweet to pick up Sydney's toys every time she dropped them. However, it was more like a game after a while. :)
Walking to the park.
She absolutely loves the swings and loves to go high!
Hunter walking himself. LOL.
Older cousin, Madison, with her cousin, Sydney. Madison loved to play with her and Sydney loved it when she did.
She discovered stairs. Oh boy...
Mark's Sunday Dinner. Mmm..... That's all I have to say. Just kidding. Mark was nice enough to make dinner for everyone on Sunday evening. For those of you that don't know Uncle Mark, whenever it's his turn to cook, it's your turn to be jealous.
Happy Birthday, Grandpa! We celebrated Grandpa Randy's birthday! He turned the youthful age of 53, but some of the family members thought otherwise. Breckon was cute and said excitedly when he looked at the cake, "I didn't know grandpa is 13!" And Jenn picked up the number candles and asked, "Dad's turning 35?" (She claimed she was actually thinking 55 but it came out wrong). Jenn and I made a double layered German Chocolate Cake with homemade Coconut-Pecan frosting - his favorite. I thought it turned out pretty good.
Like father, like son....Love it.
Sydney loved Hunter and Hunter loved Sydney. Hunter would lick her face if she was being friendly and trying to pet him. Then she decided she was a dog too and tried to get outside the way Hunter does (ringing the bell hanging from the back door).
Breckon's Locker. We had an incident when Jenn and JJ went out on their Anniversary date. Shelby was going to take the kids on a walk to the park. She came in for a second to grab Hunter's leash and when she walked into the garage where the kids were, she sees Brynne with her hand on a locker. Brynne has an infatuation with closing doors. She will not let any door remain open. Suddenly, she hears a faint voice crying, "I'm in here..I'm in here!"
So Shelby runs inside yelling that Breckon was stuck in a locker. As we start to hustle outside, mom yells, "someone grab your camera!" So I did and we go running out to the garage. Uncle Kurt was luckily there and started to pry open the door with a screw driver. Once he opened it enough so that Breckon could see out, he was more calm and patiently waited for Kurt to get the locker open. Two screwdrivers later and a little thrust, Kurt got him out in less than 2 minutes. Unfortunately, the poor boy was so terrified that he peed his pants. It was so sad yet so funny at the same time. Breckon is fine and most likely not traumatized for the rest of his life. And we're sure he will laugh at this when he's older.
Madison was a cute; she seems very concerned for her younger brother.
Her foot HAD to be out no matter what.
Breckon and Brynne fascinated by Hallie's new popcorn machine.
Tea Party! (whoever made this kid's toy out of glass must not have been thinking straight, but oh well.)
Daddy got tired of playing tea party. :)
Grandma Teresa and Grandpa Randy play time!
Hallie's new chairs that she found on the side of the road and dad carrying it to the sun room.
Gifts from Grandmas. Grandmas are so good about that. ;)
Bath time in the sink! She had a blast!! She loves water.
I'll play your 3 and raise you... lol
Watching a true Midwestern thunderstorm.

I think you have the happiest baby in the world and definitely one of the cutest. That locker story is really funny : )
Hank always pulls his foot out like that in his high chair. Then he tries to stand up...and it scares me! Syd's little cheesy grin is adorable! I am sad we didn't get to see you at the Smith's baby blessing!
Hey MaShay, you have no idea how sad I was to miss the baby blessing too.
