Hot Air Balloon Ride!

Every once and a while, I have to stop and brag about the amazing husband I have. :)
This wonderful man tries so hard to make me happy. This time Kory surprised me with a Hot Air Balloon ride! He found a great deal on Groupon for an 1-Hour hot air balloon ride for 2 in Park City, UT. (Gotta love Groupon!)  It was kind of like a early Anniversary gift. We were able to get away without the kids (Thank you, Shelby!) and the ride was so beautiful.  Check that off my bucket list. ;)

Setting up the balloons. We had three in our group.
One balloon holds 4 couples.

Kory got to help hold the balloon open.
First, they fanned air into the balloon.

Two at once. Ours is the red one.

Up, up and away!

A series of the first blow of hot air.

VIDEO: Here we go! ;)

Our view of Olympic Park.

(What a wonderful man I've got)

Deflating

At the end, there was a Champagne toast - or Orange Juice. ;)
And then we ate a delicious breakfast at The Eating Establishment in downtown Park City.

Our March Getaway

If you know me at all, you know I get veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery restless January-March.  I don't know what it is (the depressing cold, the lack of holidays, the lack of vacations, etc.), but Kory feels bad for me apparently. The last two year he has planned a sweet two-day getaway to Salt Lake where we stay in a hotel and go out to eat. Last year, we had to bring little Sydney along, but this year, we were wild and free! ;)  We stayed at The Anniversary Inn. It. Was. Awesome! And Kory picked a room that I would've picked. It was the Swiss Family Robinson Room. And...I LOVED IT! The bed was in a tree house! :D We got to sleep above our "waterfall" (the shower). The Shower was a small waterfall into a jetted jacuzzi.  They leave sparkling cider and cheesecake in the roon and what do ya know, they left a strawberry and a chocolate. HOW did they know? (Strawberry for Kory and chocolate for me obviously.) They also give you breakfast, which was pretty good too. It was really enjoyable and relaxing. Again, my favorite part was the bed. :)

They actually messed up and gave me a cinnamon roll instead of a ham and cheese croissant but we got to keep both. It also includes two drinks each and yogurt with granola. Delicious!

Yes, the phone is in the tree and yes, we are watching The Big Bang Theory. lol.
Then we ended the trip by eating at Pat's BBQ. Yum!
(Apparently we should've got married in March...lol)
