Family Pictures 2013

We are lucky to have family nearby, with nice cameras, and who are willing to take family pictures for us. The year Sydney turned 1, we had my sister Shantel Flanary take some amazing family pictures, and this year we had my sister Sierra Pack take some and they turned out great as well.
Thank you again ladies! We love you and appreciate you! :)

These were taken up AF Canyon by Tibble Fork.

My American Babies - Photoshoot 2013

So we were lucky enough to get a FREE Photo-shoot from Camera Shy because they were training a new photographer, and the pictures turned out fantastic! I even got to be in some of them.

Before I had kids, I pictured myself with boys.
Now with two girls, I couldn't picture my life without them.

Ok, so here's a real update!

*I just added a new feature that will email you ever time I update our blog (Jenn kindly showed me how). If you would like to be added to the email list or taken off, please let me know and I will do so. Enjoy and welcome. :)

So I realized that it's been a while since I posted an "actual update" on the family and not just a million photos of Sydney. Not that seeing pictures of Sydney is bad because I know that's really the reason you read our blog, am I right? ;) hehehe  But for the sake of journaling, I will update you on us big people as well.

We are enjoying our new life here in Alpine; the new place actually looks like a home now. I love the extra room and storage space! (Pictures below.)  Kory has started his Ideal Protein program. So far he has lost 13 lbs in 2 weeks. We have loved eating healthier and ironically, there are lots of meals on this program that I enjoy too! Such as Chicken (or Pheasant) Lettuce Wraps, Chili-Lime Pork Chops, Asian Tacos, and a plethora of yummy salad dressings.  It seems to be working well and he plans to be on it for about 2 months. We'll see, depending on the results. He says that even though it is a diet, he never goes hungry and always feels full.  I am excited for him.

Kory has also started pre-gardening! Here is the beginning of our beautiful artichoke babies. Our backyard has a decently sized plot made for gardening and we plan to plant artichokes, green beans, roma tomatoes, green leaf and romaine lettuce, green peppers, jalapenos, zucchini, cucumbers, onions, cilantro, basil, watermelon, and maybe a little sweet corn.

We also got the photo-shopped Family Pictures back and they look awesome! I will be ordering it soon so I can finally put it on the wall! Here they are: (let me know if any family members want a good hard copy.)

Shay has a calling already.  I am now the Young Women's Sports Coach.  You're probably asking, "what is that?"  Well, what they told me was that I would act kind of like a YW Sports Coordinator's assistant since the YW Sports Coordinator doesn't know hardly anything about sports. haha. Too bad basketball just ended.  But that's okay because softball starts soon. The bishopric said they will be giving me another calling. They also said that they are still throwing around Kory's name, so more callings are probably on their way.

And finally an update on Sydney (of course) ;)  She got her first set of immunizations today :(  I know I'm slow getting her in, but we waited for a couple different reasons.  It was sad to see my baby cry and I couldn't help her.  I wanted Kory to come because I have gone to watch her get pricked the whole first week after she was born for her biliruben tests and he didn't.  But then he made a good point that it wasn't fair to make daddy do it because it wouldn't be nice to have daddy become the bad guy and have her associate horrible things with her dad, especially since he can't make it better by feeding her or putting her to sleep.  So I let him off the hook again. (But I will get him back somehow...) jk. Anyways, she is still a wonderful healthy baby! Here are some pictures with her favorite necklace. She is for sure teething (my mom said all her children teethed around 5 months so I'm expecting the worst).  We have two teething rings for her but she seems to like the necklace the best. :)
