Memorial Day & Shay's 10K

Monday
Another goal completed! I am not a huge runner -- I don't enjoy it...I get bored.
But I made a goal after having Ainsley and I felt inspired to set a goal to run and train for a 10k (6 miles).  Since Ainsley was born, I've wanted to get healthy and more fit like I used to be, so this was the way God showed me how to do it (along with eating better).  I ran in the Run of Remembrance in American Fork on Memorial Day. I wanted to find a race where all the money would go to a good cause. All proceeds from the Run of Remembrance went to the Afflicted War Heroes charity.  I thought it was a good way to remember the meaning of the day and support a local charity event.
I ended up running 8:48/mile; I finished in 54:31!
This is my personal best so far. It's better than the Half Marathon Kory and I did two years ago. (That record was not Kory's fault as he was staying with me when my muscles gave out. Sorry, honey.)
10k was perfect for me. I plan to continue doing them in the future. (AND, I've lost all the baby weight. ;) )

My lovely family came and supported me. :)

(Picture taken a little late)

Ainsley loved the free oranges. She seriously was going crazy for them. The pictures don't do it justice.
And Sydney loved the Bouncy House they set up for the kids.  The face says it all. ;)

Easter 2013

Easter at Grandma and Grandpa Jorgensen's house was fun-filled with an Easter egg hunt and dinner. Sydney had a BLAST looking for eggs. I bet she'd being happy doing this everyday.

We attempted to take pictures of the Flanary grand-babies, however, Ainsley wouldn't have it. Haha. This was her first experience with grass and she was not a fan.  But they turned out cute anyway.

 Makiya loves Ainsley...
But Ainsley's not so sure! lol
I love how Sydney is giving Cairo a kiss. :)
  Oh Ainsley...and Cairo is falling.

Love my baby girl.
 Egg Hunt

That morning, Sydney got an Easter basket that was hidden behind the couch by the DVDs. It didn't take her very long to find it but she loved what she got. She got a Daisy doll to go with her Minnie, Mickey, and Donald (which she got for her 2nd birthday), as well as new sunglasses and sports balls for the summer and Finding Nemo. (Note: the Golf clubs, Air Hockey table and Minnie pillow were previous gifts from Christmas and Birthday so ignore them...)

She's saying, "Cool dude!" She loves her glasses. :)

Easter Eggs

Happy Resurrection Day!
This was Sydney's first year with an Easter Basket. After she found it in the morning, she was more excited about the eggs than the presents inside. haha.

Sydney is FASCINATED by eggs. :) And she say "eggs" so well too (see video). Ever since I pulled out my basket of Easter eggs, she has carried them all over the house; we find eggs everywhere!

She got a kid's shopping cart, bubbles, and windup bath bees. She also got some cute outfits from her Grandma Teresa and Grandpa Randy (wrapped in the colored tissue paper).
She got to go on an Easter Egg Hunt at my Grandma Jorgensen's house which she does every year in her backyard. She loved it! She could probably search for eggs all day if we let her.
Happy Easter Dress!
And she loves her new spring hat too. It's a little to big, but she doesn't care. :)

Christmas 2011

Well, I can't believe it has been so long since I've blogged last. I am so sorry to my faithful followers. ;) To tell the truth, I haven't felt up to doing it for a very good reason... We have an announcement to make.... We are expecting BABY #2! And I have been sick and nauseated on the couch for two months now and just starting to feel better. So I am so sorry for the delay. Here is our Christmas post, and SOON to come will be Kory's trip to Illinois and the latest of Sydney's discoveries. ;)

For Christmas this year we stayed in Utah. Sydney got more than any one-year old needs, but since she is the only grandchild on my side and a spoiled and loved grandbaby on the other, she had to be spoiled. She got an adorable trike from her Grandma Teresa (video below) that she loves and pushes everywhere, especially the day she got it. She also got shape blocks that you put in a bucket, a Hippo ball bouncer and a baby basketball hoop from her Nana.  She'll have to grow into her hoop because she can't quite reach it yet, but she already loves throwing the ball through the hoop.
Merry Christmas!

(See I told you she liked it, haha)
We figured out how to take her pajamas off... the twit. :)

Sydney in action!
