Dear Precious Baby...

Dear little Sydney,

I wanted to write and tell you how excited we are to have you in our family! You are a sweet sweet spirit and we felt it from the moment we touched you. I wanted to thank you for that.

Thank you for being so little and fragile. You teach us how to take care of the simple and little things everyday with love.

Thank you for being an angel when you sleep and when you're awake. When you cry, it is so precious and quiet we can't help but smile before you stop.

Thank you for being a binky baby. I know it is comforting for you to suck on anything even after you're done eating. You make our lives a little easier and you are a lot more happy that way as well.

Thank you for being a good eater. You will save us so much money because you are able to be nursed instead of bottle fed. You are so cute when you squirm and struggle to find what you're looking for, but once you do, you are immediately soothed.

Thank you for recognizing my touch and the touch of your dad. We feel closer to God when we hold our little miracle. It is miraculous in and of itself that you can sense your parents and just know who we are and that you are safe.

I know you keep me up at night a lot because you still struggle to sleep at night like you do in the day, but every morning when the night is over, I can't help but forgive that cute innocent face.

Most importantly, thank you for bringing the Spirit into our home. You are the closest thing to Heaven right now and we can feel it everyday. You truly are God's little miracle and we are so grateful that he provided a way for you to come to us safely and peacefully. We love you and we hope you always know that. Thank you for being a part of our lives!

Our Story...

Kory and Shay found each other at Brigham Young University at a Ward Choir practice, and they have been inseparable ever since. All except for the year and a half that she decided to follow Kory's lead and serve the Lord as a full time missionary, where she did so in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from 2007-2008. Kory valiantly served in the New York, New York South Mission during 2003-2005. Now that they have been majestically reunited, they finished their college degrees while initially living in Provo, Utah. Now, they reside in Alpine, Utah. Two turned to three when their gorgeous daughter, Sydney, entered their lives September 2010. They currently live a challenging, yet happy life, and await for the next turn life's path brings them.
