Bedtime = Precious Time

One of my all time favorite moments is the precious time of bedtime. It is my favorite because it is daddy & daughter bonding time. Every night, between 7:30 and 8:00 pm, Kory gets baby ready for bed and then sits down and reads a book with her. Syd does a good job at looking at the pages, but sometimes she smacks the book to state that she would rather eat it than read it. However, the time is still precious and important to her and daddy. I love moments like these. :)

I have a few pictures of what happens during the day before we get to the bedtime routine. Here is a typical day with Sydney.

All day we chase Sydney around. There are specific things that go on almost every day that tire out the baby as well as the parents. ;)  One of Sydney's favorite not-supposed-to-have items is the computer cords. She always seems to find them. These cords were obviously out in the open, but even the hidden ones under the couch she can find!

 It's crazy what happens when I leave the room for one second.  Here, I walked out to grab my shoes and when I came back I found Sydney wrapped up in the blanket that she was just lying on and her play gym was thrown across the room and upside down from where it originally was. Sydney laughed at my shocked face. It was hilarious but I don't think I'll be leaving the room anymore! haha

 Sometimes I will let Sydney play in her crib while I try to get things done around the house. You've seen what she can do when she's by herself so I figured this would be a saver option. ;) She loves to eat her soft blankey.
