It has been a while since I've posted, but I can't believe summer has come and gone so fast. As part of our last "hurr-ah" before the summer ended, we took a trip over Labor Day weekend. We started out in Bear Lake and ended at Oneida Reservoir.
At Bear Lake, Uncle Mark let us borrow his wave-runner. We had to pick it up from the shop but sadly, the previous problem it had was not fixed. Basically, if we let it sit too long, the engine would die and refused to start up again without lighter fluid. We got about 2 runs out of it before it stopped working. We didn't want to make matters worse so we toed it in and Mark got to try it out when he arrived. Although, to all of our dismay, it didn't work for him either. Hopefully, the shop he took it to will give him his money back or officially fix the problem; it's just too bad that summer is over and will have to wait til next summer.
After staying at Bear Lake Friday to Sunday morning, we went to my sister's soccer game at Utah Stake. My sister, Shantel, is a Senior at USU playing as a forward and their home games are always free. After the game we joined by family up in Idaho. My grandma Jorgensen (my mom's mom) owns a cabin by Oneida Reservoir and we spend a lot of time every summer up there since I was about 10 I think. We love it up there: so secluded and peaceful.
The best part of Bear Lake: Fresh Raspberry Shakes!
Waiting for our shakes.
Some of these pics with the Hix's and Smith's were taken the weekend before when we came up with them.
Hanging out at the pool.
It was very bright...if you can't tell. :)
My family trip: my cousin Josh Day and my brother Dustin on the waverunner.
Ashley Hix made this cute skirt for Syd.
